A member asked:

Fatigue, rest pulse 60,2hypogonad.tsh 1.3-3.8,t4 10-12pmol/l(range 10-20).t3 (liothyronine) norm. could there be reason to suspect some central mild hypothyroidism?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unlikely: Hi. Secondary hypothyroidism is very unlikely. It would be better to assess a free T4 than a total T4 when making the assessment (i.e., check TSH and free T4). But, in any event, secondary hypothyroidism is very uncommon and not suggested by the labs you show. Good luck!
