Chest pain: Sneezing or coughing a lot can irritate the muscles and cartilage around your ribs (costochondritis) which can cause pain that is very sharp and localized. Chest pain though has a lot of other causes that get doctors concerned, and in your case, a collapsed lung is possible or a blood clot would be the most concerning and common, not a heart attack. Go se for doctor to confirm the diagnosis.
