Prob not related: The weight loss associated with cancer is almost always associated with significant anorexia (loss of appetite). Such weight loss is not seen after successful surgery for colon cancer unless there are evident metastases. Microscopic residual colon cancer, even if present, does not cause anorexia or weight loss.
