My mom said she isn't a carrier of sickle cell but my dad is so i have the trait but i am also anemic . how is that possible ?

Other cause: Your anemia is likely due to another cause (such as iron deficiency or other) rather than because of sickle cell trait. Some simple lab tests can help you sort this out!

Many possibilities: The creation of red cells requires many building blocks, with a significant input of nutrition and other health issues on whether your body keeps up with the need. Your doc can do some basic tests to see if you are deficient in the building blocks (like iron) and or if another health problem is keeping your level low.
