My eye is itchy is it bad to scratch it?

Not a good idea: Be careful not to scratch your eye because it could be infected. If you scratch and damage the eye you could cause that infection to get deeper and could cause serious damage. If your eyes continue to itch you could try over the counter eye drops or anti-histamines. If your eye is itching with drainage or pus you should see your primary care physician to make sure there is no infection.
