Friday i took a pregnancy test it came back positive. i took another test today the same clinic same brand and it said negative. what could that mean?

It depends.: The test could be read wrong. You could be very early pregnant and the urine today may be too dilute and below the thresh hold of the test. I recommend repeating the test with a first void specimen in the morning or simply do a blood test (serum quantitative beta HCG).
