Blood test needed...: If you are cramping and spotting and there is some question about the urine pregnancy tests, you need to get a blood pregnancy test. Urine pregnancy tests are only good if the pregnancy hormone is above a certain level but blood pregnancy tests can detect even low levels of pregnancy hormone. Ectopic pregnancies and miscarriages are not reliably detected by urine tests. Best wishes!
