?vacation dialysis: I think you might be referring to dialysis performed when patients receiving dialysis go away on vacation. Temporary dialysis can be arranged at centers all over the United States and still paid for by insurance. It has to be arranged well in advance and medical information shared to the temporary dialysis unit. It allows for a more normal lifestyle for patients, especially for family visits.
