Talk to dentist: It's perfectly normal to be nervous about getting dentures. You should discuss your fears with your dentist and he or she should be able to answer all of your questions and help reduce your nerves. Have you asked about implants to help retain or keep the dentures in your mouth?

Dentures: Getting dentures is a pretty scary situation, a big life changing step, but if you have bad teeth, I think it is well worth it. There are many main types of dentures but implant retained dentures are the most durable, most stable and most expensive. (The best!) Ask your dentist for more information. Good luck.

Not unusual: I would have a couple of consultations on options other than dentures. I would also recommend that whomever is doing the treatment- dentures or otherwise, you must feel comfortable with the dentist and his/her staff.

Dentures: It is not unusual to be nervous about taking a step like getting dentures. Ask your dentistall of you questions and concerns. The process of fabrication a denture includes your input on how it will look. Usually there is a wax try in where you get to see what it will look like before it is finished. Ask your dentistall your questions. Concider implants.

Dentures: first find out if there is options to save existing teeth? If not then explore the option of getting implants that may support dentures. Remember as teeth are removed over time bone loss will occur and usually lower dentures are not easy to get used to. Educate yourself first as much as possible
