A member asked:

What do you suggest if positive drug screen for prescription drug?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Show prescription: If you have a prescription medication that is showing up as a positive on someone's drug screen, all you should have to do is demonstrate that it is being legally and appropriately prescribed. However, if you are being tested because you are in a "safety-sensitive" job (bus driver, cop, doctor) where you are not allowed to be on such medications, then it may not be a defense for job actions.
