What should i do about potential exposed nerve on tooth?

Seek DDS or DMD: If it is indeed exposed, you will need a sedative dressing and/or a root canal on the tooth. See your dentist or an endodontist who specializes in root canal treatment.

It should be obvious: See a dentist as soon as possible for an evaluation and appropriate treatment. When was your last dental checkup?

See a dentist: Take NSAIDs or Tylenol (acetaminophen) to control pain. However, make sure to see your dentist. If you mask the pain with a painkiller, the infection can spread and could become more complicated and even life threatening.

Phone call.....: If the nerve of your tooth is exposed to bacteria and saliva, then you most likely will need root canal therapy. Please call a local dentist for an appointment.
