Sindbis virus: Sindhis virus is an insect borne virus (mosquitos) that can cause joint pains, rash, low grade fever and malaise. The rash is maculopapular (bumps) and often itchy, occurring over the trunk and limbs. The joint symptoms usually involve the wrists, hips, knees, and ankles. Most cases are found Northern Europe (Finland, Sweden), but also Africa, China and Australia. Avoid bug bites while traveling.
