A member asked:

What kind of doctor to see for kidney issues?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Kidney doctor: Depending on one's problem, one would see either a nephrologist (N) or a urologist (U). A N deals with kidney diseases while a U deals with problems with urination due to obstruction or bladder problems. If you have hypertensive disease of the kidneys, a N would be your choice. If you have a big prostate or urinary stones, a U would be the physician you go to.
