Serious - yes: Not sure what was cultured to obtain these results but there should have been antibiotic sensitivities, too, to guide choice of antibiotics. Older patients w/diabetes are worrisome when they get sick b/c their immune system is compromised from age & diabetes. Make sure this person takes antibiotics etc as directed and follows up w/treating physician.
