What happenes if i dont drink the oral contrast before a cat scan?

Less visualization: Doctors order oral contrast when doing a CT of the abdomen to allow them to get a better look at the hollow organs of the gastrointestinal system. If you do not drink the oral contrast then they will not be able to see as much detail in your stomach, intestines and colon.
