Constipation: Make sure his/her diet contains juices and fiber. Miralax (polyethylene glycol) or Lax a day daily until a soft daily bowel movement may help. All the best.

Make Dietary Changes: Children can be picky eaters; dietary selection contributes to constipation which in turn impairs the appetite. Inadequate dietary fluid/fiber is common cause. Prune juice helps; add 6-8 ounces water, 16-19 gms fiber daily (fresh fruit/vegetables, beans, peas, whole grains). Keep milk intake 16-24 oz/d. Your child should see the doctor to check for medical causes if this has not already been done
