Allergy to product: If your kids are getting a rash when they put on freshly laundered clothes, then they are most likely allergic to something in the laundry. Most common culprits are detergents and dryer sheets, especially if you use scented products. If you always use tide and they never had a problem before, what else has changed? New dryer sheets? Other products to clean machines? Water treatments?
