Not metaSTATIC: Don't let the word "metaplastic" scare you worse - that is a description of how the cells are growing/changing, and has nothing to do with "metastatic" disease, which means spreading to other parts of the body. It sounds like you are talking about intraductal carcinoma, which is usually non-invasive (hasn't spread yet). This is definitely treatable - talk to your oncologist about best options.

Metaplastic cancer: Poorly differentiated - ( grade 3/3 ) - invasive ductal carcinoma (idc) with metaplastic feature-this could be a metaplastic carcinoma of the breast- which is a very rare type ( about 1%) of cancer of the breast. It is usually negative for er/pr/her2neu, however. There is a relation between metaplastic carcinoma and brca-1 mutation. Discuss further in detail with your oncologist.
