Yes: Bipolar disorder is overdiagnosed and is often a "grab bag" diagnosis when doctors don't really understand . what is wrong. True bipolar disorder needs medication. Anxiety and depression can be treated by psychotherapy or a combination of therapy and meds. Find a psychologist or psychiatrist who will see you regularly and spend the time to get to the bottom of what is really the matter.
