Possible: Although it is conceivable that mesenteric varices could be a complication of abdominal adhesions, after having surgery for cancer you would certainly want to make sure you know that nothing else is causing the varices because you chalk them up to adhesions. A work up would be worthwhile if it hasn't already been done.
