A member asked:

Whether for physical or to isolate a medical condition, does it matter if i have a cbc as fasting or nonfast for accurate results?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Fasting not needed: If CBC is the only test being conducted fasting is not needed and will not affect the results. If you will also have fasting glucose and lipids tested, then it would be prudent to fast for at least 9 hours before blood draw.
