Get checked: You need to be seen and get checked for strep throat which needs antibiotic to be treated . Your doctor will also be able to tell you if it's a peritonsillar abscess which requires referral to the ER. Bottom line don't wait get checked

Throat: Possibly bacterial or mono but there is a possibility of a peritonsillar abscess. Go to the ER today and get an evaluation with a culture and mono blood tests
