Gastroenteritis: This is probably an acute viral infection. Rotavirus and Norovirus, among others are the most common. Noroviruses are a group of related viruses that causes gastroenteritis, which is inflammation of the stomach and intestines. This leads to stomach cramping, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. It can last as long as 10 days, but usually resolves in 3-5 days. Stay well hydrated and get plenty of rest.
