A member asked:

I have petechia spots covering all my face and neck after vomiting yesterday with painful refluxes. the vomiting was cured. are the spots symptoms of?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Petechiae: Forceful coughing or vomiting can increase the pressure in the blood vessels of the neck and head structures. When fragile capillaries in the eyes and face rupture, small hemorrhages are created. Petechiae due to this cause typically heal up on on their own without intervention and pose no long term consequences.
