How would the symptoms differ from a 5th metatarsal fracture and tendonitis? pain spot is about about inch/ inch and half lower than my little toe.

Very hard to deciphe: Some fractures are relatively painless. Thus it is best that you see a specialist like a Podiatrist & let them obtain imaging. This is not something you should try to diagnose yourself. If it is tendonitis the treatment could be Physical therapy and a topical anti-inflammatory. If it is a fracture it could involve immobilization. Given such different treatments the first step is a proper diagnosis
