Do tics affect your chance of becoming a doctor/surgeon?

Depends on tics: If you are a well rounded individual with the intelligence to do well in HS and college, then having a tic disorder should not affect one's chance of becoming a medical doctor, but if tics involve fine hand movements, tics could affect your ability to perform surgery. There are many options available. Keep focused on your goals and best wishes

No: Tics are quite common. They should not interfere with your career plans. The only exception is if they interfere with fine motor actives such as surgery.
