Depends on tics: If you are a well rounded individual with the intelligence to do well in HS and college, then having a tic disorder should not affect one's chance of becoming a medical doctor, but if tics involve fine hand movements,tics could affect your ability to perform surgery. No: Tics are quite common. They should not interfere with your career plans. The only exception is if they interfere with fine motor actives such as surgery.
