My question refers to what's commonly known as sulphur burps.however i have already had 2 major surgeries and diagnosed with diverticular disease.

Sulphur Burps: are as a result of excess air in the stomach and the smell is caused by sulphur reducing bacteria breaking down sulphur containing proteins in the food you have just eaten resulting in the production of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) which smells like rotten eggs. Nothing directly related to diverticular disease.
