Anxiety shuts down: processes we don't need for emergency survival like digestion. Please see your doc to rule out medical conditions. Use a book called "The Relaxation Response" by Herbert Benson to shut down your fight/flight/freeze response. Peace and good health.

Fat goes slowly: Fat goes slowly out of the stomach- it actually slows down the muscular activity of the stomach. If there is underlying slow movement of the stomach (gastroparesis) then this will add to the problem.
