A member asked:

When a 1 month old has a temperature of 97.5 does he have fever ??

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not a fever...: A fever is a temperature over 100.4, although at 1 month of age I would let your pediatrician know if the temp is over 100 so that they can get more history and determine if the baby needs to be seen. To be reliable at this age the temp needs to be taken rectally. If you baby is having sick symptoms that are concerning you, regardless of temperature - you should discuss with his pediatrician.
