A member asked:

I am having my baby in about an hour and it is vaginal with my 1st child what can i expect during the pushing stage will they give me oxygen or gas?

Not always: You will only need oxygen if your babies heart rate goes down and stays down for too long while you are pushing Remember to take deep breaths and hold the air in your lungs while you push. Push while the nurses count to 10. Try to get 2 pushes for each contraction. The nurses will tell you exactly what to do so you don't have to memorize this! LOL Good Luck!
