Fetal movements: Quickening is the term used for when women begin to feel fetal movement. Most will feel the first movement around 20 weeks - some a little sooner and some a little later. If you have an ultrasound you will see the baby moving much sooner. For first time moms it can be hard at first to know the difference between "kicks" and bowel gas but as you get further along this will become clear
