Pregnancy/ GI: General infectious precautions: do not share food, no food prep by ill person, wash hands with soap, no kissing,no bathing together, use gloves for washing dishes, washing linens used by the ill , spraying/wiping toilet seat after use (use Oxivir, Clorox Hydrogen Peroxide,not lysol ), perhaps not sharing a bed. The infectious period extends to 2-3 days after improvement. Discuss with doctor

Viral transmission: Frequent handwashing, change towels, change bed sheets and pillow cases, take care if you do laundry and handle all this. He must wash hands frequently. Perhaps he can handle the laundering, while you put out fresh stuff.

Viral infection: If you are in a household relationship with somebody with a viral infection it is very difficult to prevent your becoming infected with the same organism. Washing hands, not eating with the same utensils, not touching intimately (including kissing, touching, etc.), may help, but the chances are you are already contaminated. Most, however, will not hurt your baby.

Good hygeine: No kissing for 10 days. Do not share food/ drinks / toothbrushes or utensils. Frequent hand washing especially after using the bathroom.
