A doctor has provided 1 answer

Blood vessels dilate: to cool off your body when you generate more body heat by exercise. A flushed face is more common in light skinned people due to less pigment. Slowing your pace a little and exercising in the coolest part of the day may help a little. The more conditioned you are, it may become less of a problem. A damp cloth around your neck during exercise cools as it evaporates.
