It's possible...: Halitosis (bad breath) can be caused by many different factors, including rotten teeth, periodontal disease, diet, acid reflux, and sinus infections. Ask a trusted friend to give you their honest opinion, and go from there. Have yourself examined by a dentist and a physician and discuss your concerns. You are accustomed to your own aromas, but they may be offensive to others.

Maybe you do: Sometimes we can not smell our own body since we are so accustomed to it. Ask someone you can trust and consider a dentist, a PCP exam or mouthwash and deodorant. It's normal to have some odor especially if there is any infection - so have exams. Best!

First things first: Visit your dentist and your primary care for evaluation to ensure you really don't have bad breath or body odor. Believing that people avoid you because you smell bad may also be a sign of an underlying emotional problem that might require evaluation and treatment by a mental health professional.
