You would know.: First, the surprising thing is that even minor injuries that keep you from lifting the shoulder develop into a frozen shoulder with permanent limitation of movement without careful attetion and physical therapy. Then, if a tear, you'd have a reason to say that... I presume a major injury that got your attention! So... basically gotta get it looked at.

Worth an evaluation: Should be evaluated to determine exact problem. Meanwhile use ice locally for 20min at a time, take ibuprofen for pain and avoid further injury. Thanks for trusting HealthTap!
