What are these immunocompetent cells?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Immunocompetent: Means able to mount an immune response. New borns depend on maternal anti-bodies until their immune sysytems experience antigens; the opposite is immunocomprmised, such as with the HIV virus depletion of helper t cells (cd-4), that provide cellualr immunity.
