Neck: May be a lymph node, a skin cyst or from an insect bite. I would check it out with the pediatrician. Warm compresses may help but depending on what it looks like to the doctor antibiotics or further tests may be needed

See Your Doctor Now: This mass may or may not be a prominent lymph node which is a component of the immune system. Infection, trauma, cancer can cause them to enlarge with or without pain. However itching is not a typical feature and benign nodes are usually soft. A non-lymphoid mass must also be considered. Visual inspection is required. See your doctor now for the correct diagnosis and treatment.
