Consultants: A general practitioner should be able to initiate the general evaluation. Depending on these results, common consultants may include infectious disease, general surgeon, immunologist or oncologist.

It depends: if the node is the size of a pea and is not growing you should see your family doctor. If it is painful and growing than you should go to urgent care to check it out. If on the other hand if its a bit larger and non painful. Finally if you want a complete evaluation a hematologist/onchologist will get the job done.
