Clay colored stools: Indicate an insufficiency of bile secretion. Milk is no substitute for adequate food. The more worried you are about her appetite, the less she will eat. Even if you show your anxiety in any way whatsoever, she will jump at a chance of controlling you. This is standard pediatric advice.

Pepto-Bismol, other : anti-diarrhea meds & antacids cause clay-colored stools. If she drinks much more milk than the recommended maximum 16 oz./day , she needs lab tests for low iron stores or iron-deficiency anemia, either of which can cause developmental delays. Cut down on milk, cut out juice & junk food. Have 3 pleasant, sit-down family meals & offer 2 nutritious snacks at the table/day.Don't nag or beg her to eat.
