Yes: It can happen from the friction of the leg movement, the type of underclothing your are wearing, and the movement of vaginal secretions with it's bacterial content.

No, but...: Running should not, by itself, cause a urinary tract infection. But, you may develop symptoms that feel like a UTI because of rubbing/irritating the urethra during a run--which may make it burn when you urinate. Also, it is really important to hydrate properly before and during long runs to avoid irritation of the bladder. You may try looser fitting clothes or even a lubricant as protection.

No: Symptoms could be due to irritation of the urethra from the garment worn, dehydration and possibly the slapping of the bladder wall while running causing minimal bleeding even though microscopic,can lead to irritation of the bladder causing symptoms you feel. Adequate hydration and wear appropriate gear for exercise
