Psychological and: medical records can be shared w/insurance companies if you have signed a release when you signed up for the insurance, which you probably have. If you've done nothing wrong there is no problem legally but it may impact upon an insurance carriers choice about covering you. The new insurance laws are evolving and confusing, even for providers. Speak w/your psychologist about this. Peace.

Whenever you see: A psychologist or a psychiatrist, it becomes part of your medical record. That is not a bad thing, since it is the 1st step towards diagnosing and treating you. If you have a serious mental health issue, without treatment, bad things can happen to you, like hurting yourself or others. Your medical record is confidential and you would need to give permission in most instances for anyone to see it.
