Many causes: Paresthesias can be due to many reasons including diabetic neuropathy, nerve compression, systemic disease, vitamin deficiency, and alcoholism. Consider: Could be mechanical nerve compression at elbow or wrist, but due to possible referred cardiac pain to left arm, also check for possible angina. Your doctor needs to know what is occurring.
