Many causes: Paresthesias can be due to many reasons including diabetic neuropathy, nerve compression, systemic disease, vitamin deficiency, and alcoholism. If the tingling becomes more bothersome or you experience new symptoms, see your primary care physician. Take a detailed account of these episodes (timing, duration, associated factors, etc). http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003206.htm

Consider: Could be mechanical nerve compression at elbow or wrist, but due to possible referred cardiac pain to left arm, also check for possible angina. Your doctor needs to know what is occurring.
