Rosacea: Rosacea often flares when something causes the blood vessels in the face to expand, which causes redness. Things that cause a flare-up are called triggers. Common triggers are exercise, sun and wind exposure, hot weather, stress, spicy foods, alcohol, and hot baths. Swings in temperature from hot to cold or cold to hot can also cause a flare-up of rosacea. See your doctor for medications.

Blushing?: Many people blush -- turn red, feel flushed -- when embarrassed or aroused. This is a prime example of the mind-body connection in action. Our skin and nervous system are developmentally related, so our "nerves" can express on our faces, etc. Besides emotion there can be other triggers too: drinking alcohol, eating spicy meals, etc. These dilate small blood vessels; you "flush" as a result.
