Encephalopathy?: He sounds pretty sick, and his ammonia level may be so high as to contribute to the presentation you've documented. This can be treated, but it requires confirmatory testing first. Many other conditions can also cause his problems however--some unrelated to the liver. Please get him to the doctor ASAP.
