Topical : Until you can be sen by a dentist, some relief can be achieved by the use of Anbesol or over the counter topical agent such as benzocaine. The origin of the abcess needs to be determined. If it is coming from a tooth, then get it treated.

Antibiotics: You are taking 2 antibiotics to try to combat the infection. Antibiotics are not pain killers. Abscess probably needs to be incised and drained. If abscess is from infected tooth you will need root canal treatment or extraction...pills won't cure an infected tooth. If abscess doesn't respond a different antibiotic may be required. Call your Dentist for help w pain meds and for Rx.
