Dr. can check at 3mo: A young baby makes his own schedule and will fuss or cry if still hungry. Healthy babies are fed "ad lib", which means we let the baby decide how much to drink. (Usually, after 3 months of age a normal baby can be allowed to go 6-7 hours at night without feeding or other parental interaction.) The pediatrician can check the baby's growth at the 2 month check up next week, to make sure it's normal.
