Inguinal hernia...: Common causes of right lower quadrant abdominal pain in your age group include: appendicitis (inflammation of your appendix) and possibly an inguinal hernia. Given the proximity to the thigh, in this case I would suspect a hernia. Please get a thorough examination by your primary care doctor. Usually hernias can be detected on examination, but sometimes a CT scan may be needed too.
