A member asked:

Dear doctor, i went for hiv elisa/eia ab/ag combo at 4 weeks post exposure which came back negative, is this conclusive?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: HIV should be retested post-exposure at 3 and 6 months. Until then it is not conclusive due to the latency period of the virus itself.
