A member asked:

If certain pills are bad for the liver, why don't people just take them sublingually? can they not be absorbed this way, or is there another reason?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sublingual is same: Once any compound is absorbed by the body, whether it be via the sublingual or oral route, it will eventually reach the liver. Therefore, any medication toxic to the liver, will be toxic no matter how you take it.
