A member asked:

Shooting pain in left arm for 2 days. no chest pain. what could this be, other than a pinched nerve? could it be sign of heart disease?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not likely heart: Shooting pain is most often associated with a nerve problem, as you suggested. It is rare to find heart problems in your age group, and shooting pains rarely reflect heart disease in any patient group. So a cardiac cause is most unlikely.
